Welcome to our final week of the DIY Beauty series! I am so excited for you all to try this simple DIY eye cream recipe! It only has three ingredients and I bet you have at least one ingredient already on hand. All you will need is coconut oil, vitamin E oil and your favorite essential oil. That’s it! Check out my video below:

See, wasn’t that easy?! I hope you enjoyed some of the bloopers because I sure did. Also, you can certainly use Frankincense and Lavender oil together. We did this a few weeks ago with the face wash. I totally forgot that we mixed them together and it smells absolutely amazing. Sorry about that! You guys can really mix whatever essential oils you have on hand but if you don’t have any then you can just omit that from the recipe. It will smell just as good with coconut oil and vitamin E oil.

I found this recipe on the Redefined Mom blog. You can find the original recipe here. I pretty much followed her instructions very specifically but instead of taking the eye cream out of the refrigerator, I recommend keeping it in there. I’ve written out the directions for you below.

Ingredients

organic-coconut-oil

1/2 cup of organic coconut oil, melted through.

vitamin-e-oil

6-8 punctured soft gel capsules of Vitamin E oil or 1 teaspoon of Vitamin E oil.

lavender-essential-oil

4-6 drops of your favorite essential oils.

Directions

Mix the coconut oil, vitamin E oil and essential oils in a small bowl. Once mixed thoroughly, pour into small jars or containers. You can find small jars at any beauty store or regular grocery store in the crafting department. Place the finished eye cream in the refrigerator for 1 hour. If you live in a hot climate, keep the eye cream in the refrigerator. This mixture can last six months to one year. I hope you enjoy!

On another note…

vegan-cupcakes

I am so honored that Mscupcakeasaurus created a custom cupcake just for Bold & Free! Raquel, aka. Mscupcakeasaurus, is a baker and a blogger whose logo is a dinosaur. Check out why she chose the dinosaur here! The custom cupcake that she created just for Bold & Free is a vegan avocado cupcake. She spent a lot of time asking about my blog and what types of ingredients she should use. I really appreciated that she took the time to learn about me and designed a beautiful cupcake that matches my brand. Of course, I had to make her recipe and they came out DELICIOUS! You guys need to try this recipe and even if you aren’t an avocado fan, you would have no idea it’s even in there. I made this recipe earlier this weekend and my friends just loved it. Check out the Bold & Free Vegan Avocado Chocolate Cupcakes here! I know you’ll love them.
